F. Kendall Sharp established Search For Excellence, Inc. ("SFE") in 1991. For nearly two decades, Kendall has coached and assisted thousands of candidates in finding more fulfilling jobs. Kendall specializes in mergers, as well as retained and contingency partner searches. Clients and candidates value her guidance and candor, and allow her to direct their searches to completion. Addressing each search with tenacity, unprecedented client and candidate knowledge, and a motivating coaching style has earned Kendall a reputation as a first-rate recruiter and consultant.
A native Floridian who graduated from Yale University in 1985 with a degree in history, Kendall also played varsity sports and lettered in basketball, softball and lacrosse. A world-traveler, Kendall has explored such exotic places as China, Japan and Kenya. She has dived the Great Barrier Reef, kayaked in Alaska, and ridden her bike across Spain.
Andie Viele has been a recruiter with SFE since 2001, and brought nearly a decade of management and human resource experience with her to the firm. Andie's best qualities are that she is an excellent listener and is truly interested in the people she assists. For this reason, Andie stands out as a recruiter who is invested in a candidate or client’s long terms goals and helping them achieve them. She most enjoys working with associates and junior partners, and is a natural problem-solver. Andie is also an avid reader and a tacit philosopher. Born and raised in Michigan, Andie took a wild detour to Arkansas where she attended Arkansas State University and studied business administration before moving to the Sunshine State. An adventurer, Andie likes to skydive, scuba dive, motorcycle and will do nearly anything to get a good photograph. Having once owned a photography studio, Andie now travels extensively to pursue her passion, and donates her work to support charitable organizations. Other interests include tennis, yoga, family, creative endeavors, and personal empowerment seminars. Andie's zest for life and ability to perceive important issues beyond the surface make her a superior recruiter.
Arly Walker joined Search For Excellence as a legal recruiter in 2007. Arly received her Masters in Business Administration from Florida International University in 2005 and brings over a decade of human resources and management skills to the recruiting experience. She posses a solid business background and is most familiar with how to cultivate smaller companies into more established corporate structures.
Arly works primarily with associates and has many qualities that make her a great recruiter including tenacity, professionalism, technical proficiency and a global perspective on market opportunities and trends. She truly enjoys being a recruiter and is dedicated to helping candidates achieve their highest potential.
Arly has many diverse interests but maintains a passion for philosophy, traveling, leaning about other cultures and the arts. Her most memorable travels include backpacking across Europe and Australia, and living in Spain during the summers.
She lives in Ft Lauderdale with her husband Jim and their son Hunter and Brenden.
James Midelis possesses a wealth of experience in Executive Search and Placement, and enthusiastically brought his tenacity and expertise to Search For Excellence. James started his recruiting career in 2000 with one of the largest recruiting firms in the world where he was the National Rookie of the Year out of over 1,100 offices and 5000 recruiters. James has had continued success over the years, and was ranked as one of the top ten International Account Executives of the Year for eight consecutive years. James focuses exclusively on high level partner searches and mergers of some of the most highly respected law firms in the country.
James prides himself in working confidentiality with both his premier clients and upper echelon candidates. He has assisted thousands of candidates, who were not necessarily looking to make career changes, by presenting career opportunities that were rewarding and immensely beneficial to their careers. James has also built a reputation for working directly with key partners and decision makers on both a retained and contingency basis. He has achieved such results by truly understanding his clients' and candidates' cultures and personalities.
James was born in Florida and graduated from Florida State University in 1991 with a major in Political Science and minor in Criminology. Prior to recruiting, he was employed for seven years by the State of Florida, where he worked as a Court Officer in the 19th Judicial Circuit. James donates a great amount of his time to the AAU, FPA Little League and being a membership director for USAT. James is an avid triathlete and has competed in dozens of races, including a Half Ironman Triathlon and the Fort Lauderdale Marathon. He lives in South Florida with his two children, age 11 and 17.

Julia was born, raised, and presently lives in Vero Beach, Florida. She graduated from University of Florida and holds a Master’s of Science Degree from the University of South Florida. She has a passion for the Arts, and has owned and operated a working gallery in Vero Beach. Julia is an avid reader and loves to exercise. She teaches cycling classes and has a brown belt in karate, but her very favorite sports are free-diving in the Bahamas and downhill skiing in Utah. She loves to travel and thinks meeting people with a different point of view is the most thrilling part of the journey.
